The Varenne console by Cattelan Italia is a clear representation of Cattelan Italia's mastery in the processing of wood and its derivatives.
The craftsmen of Cattelan Italia have created a product that perfectly mixes two different materials: wood and metal. The top of the console has a surprising workmanship, it is in fact composed of diagonal strips and shaped edges of different thicknesses: the edge of the top is low, apparently thin, which thickens towards the outside. The base of the Varenne console, on the other hand, is made from a metal plate which, contrary to the top, is wide in the center and tapering towards the outside. This particular combination of shapes and materials creates a harmonious and perfectly balanced product both in terms of colors and dimensions, despite the fact that the main element is the asymmetry of the shapes.
The balanced and tapered shapes of the Varenne console allow it to be inserted in any context and environment.
