The Richard storage bed stands out in the bedroom like a sculptural piece, reimagining traditional forms through a low-profile design with no visible supports. Its imposing bed frame features edges that curve gracefully outward—a bold detail that visually expands the base. In dialogue with the curvature of the headboard, this transforms the structure into a majestic, designer platform upon which the mattress rests like a work of art.

The entire composition pursues an ideal of absolute formal continuity and geometric fluidity. The true poetic focal point lies in the tactile embrace of the upholstered headboard, where the sides fold back on themselves in soft, rolled-up pleats. This sophisticated, tailored detail—which extends slightly beyond the line of the bed frame—enhances the piece’s visual softness, providing the perfect canvas to showcase the premium leathers and plush mélange fabrics from the Cattelan Italia collection.
