Designer: Castello Lagravinese
An impressive textile-based design conceived to shape the sleeping area around the concept of absolute comfort. The Pascal bed by Cattelan Italia commands a monumental presence, defined by a massive headboard designed as a single, generous upholstered cushion—precision-engineered to provide optimal ergonomic support during moments of relaxation. The surface is fully customizable, drawing from an extensive range of leathers and technical fabrics; this offers the freedom to choose either a uniform monochromatic finish or a sophisticated dual-sided upholstery that alternates materials and shades between the front and back.
The bed frame—characterized by substantial, fully upholstered proportions that align with the headboard’s front finish—is elevated off the floor by sturdy wooden feet with bold, generous shapes. The design’s true focal point and signature detail lies in its lateral anchoring system: a pair of taut leather straps connecting the headboard to the base. This technical feature cinches the sides of the large cushion, accentuating its natural indentations and creating a series of soft surface folds that evoke an immediate sense of visual and tactile well-being, transforming the material into an avant-garde, sculptural centerpiece.
The bed is also available in the M version, where it is possible to customize the headboard and bed frame in two different finishes compared to the basic model where the bed frame and headboard are made in the same finish.
