The Mykonos seating system by Cattelan Italia reinterprets the proportions and purity of classical tradition, translating them into a furnishing piece with a monumental aesthetic that is nonetheless dedicated to absolute comfort. The design features generous ergonomics, incorporating large back cushions filled with a feather blend, supported by structural bolster-style headrests that ensure optimal posture. The model’s visual identity is rooted in the synergy between rigor and material fluidity: an elegant, removable cover—accented by precisely calibrated exposed stitching—envelops the entire silhouette, concealing the supporting feet beneath soft, natural folds. This design ensures both ease of maintenance and an aesthetic flexibility that can evolve over time.

The system’s modularity transcends traditional linearity, allowing for the articulation of space through complex corner arrangements and bespoke configurations. The addition of peninsula units and chaise longues expands the resting surface, transforming the sofa into a functional island designed for relaxation and contemplation. Conceived to command attention with understated authority within contemporary interior design, Mykonos stands as a striking, sculptural piece; the simplicity of its lines is complemented by bespoke, atelier-quality textile details, establishing the sofa as the focal point of any architectural space.
