A pillar of pure geometric expression that transforms empty space into a dramatic backdrop. Cattelan Italia’s Tokyo breaks radically with traditional furnishing conventions to embrace absolute verticality, designed to serve as the visual focal point of distinctly contemporary interiors.

The system’s unique character lies in its innovative floor-to-ceiling mounting. This structural feature makes it the perfect double-sided designer bookcase for placement in the center of a room, completely freeing it from the need for wall support. Its multifaceted, asymmetrical column allows the shelves to be positioned at unusual and ever-changing angles; consequently, light constantly interacts with the forms, highlighting displayed art objects, books, and keepsakes while creating a dynamic, ever-evolving visual effect.

While a standard wall-mounted bookcase tends to close off a room's horizon, Tokyo opens up new spatial perspectives, acting as a refined visual screen within an open-plan space. The minimalist metal lines create a sophisticated material harmony among the furnishings, making this elegant bookcase a choice of true stylistic avant-garde.
