Conceived by designer Oriano Favaretto, the Biarritz lighting project translates the geometric and material inspirations of the metaphysical avant-garde movement into a prestigious element for high-end interior design. The visual architecture of the chandelier centers on a refined, vertical circular frame made of satin-finish "iron grey" painted steel, engineered to house a system of high-color-rendering LED light sources. Like celestial bodies in a precisely calibrated gravitational orbit, various sculptural elements bring the composition to life: three spherical shades of differing diameters—crafted from fine borosilicate glass and available in transparent, bronze, or sandblasted finishes—are interspersed with an opaque sphere and a vertical stem of fluted glass. This configuration, the result of a rigorous study of structural balance, weight, and volume, conceals its technical complexity to achieve a state of perfect formal equilibrium. Supported by a ceiling attachment in titanium-embossed steel, the Biarritz suspension lamp by Cattelan Italia casts a soft, geometrically layered light, lending a sophisticated, museum-like allure to living rooms and dining areas.
